Affiliations & Disclaimers
Below you'll find a list of Second Life creators, places and communities I have direct association with. These are friends, collaborators, people I have good working relationship with and the such.
When I am writing about them - assume that I am biased. Obviously, I am partial towards them for a reason, but to trust my judgement or not is completely up to you.
I try to keep this list as much up to date as possible, however when you see any SL item on my blog - just assume that no lindens changed hands. I do shop a lot, but I also have several years of history being a very active blogger (and recieving review copies from events or directly from creators) as well as treating looking out for freebies and deals as if it was a national sport.
My editing is pretty minimal and usually consists of fixing shadows, adjucting color/contrast balance and strategic use of blur. Maybe a bokeh texture slapped on top if I am feeling fancy. Most of what you see is SL graphics dialed all the way up, combined with good lighting. Some things I use - including clothing - are photo props and look awkward in motion.
And the last thing to keep in mind is that I am not opposed to minor clipping. My rule of the thumb is if I cannot see something without zooming all the way up into my avatar's nostrils - it doesn't matter.
